Neil Kay

Management Team

The company has two directors, Colin Langdon and Neil Kay, both are long term dedicated cyclists with a wealth of cycling knowledge and experience. Both Colin and Neil cycle regularly, using cycles as their main mode of transport, are accredited cyclist training instructors and are qualified cycle mechanics.

Colin Langdon is the company’s full-time Managing Director and Neil Kay works for the company on a part-time basis providing strategic input and guidance.

Operations and training is managed by Steve Fisher. Steve is a very experienced instructor and instructor trainer, having work previously in both London and Bristol. Our administration is based in our Liverpool office, though mentors and instructors generally work from home and are recruited as close to any operational area as possible.

Instructors

We now have a team of over 70 professional instructors and as well as all being keen cyclists, each one has passed the rigorous National Standards Instructor’s Course. This means that we can deliver training and advice to all ages and all abilities, from complete beginners to committed commuters and everyone in between.

Just like cyclists in the general population our instructors come from all walks of life and from across the age spectrum too. Some of our instructors are full-time, training 10 or more school sessions a week whilst others are part-time and involved in both school-based and community-based training and cycling initiatives.

We are NOT all eco-warriors or anti-car. However, we DO all have a deep-seated love of cycling and an understanding that every journey we make by bike instead of by car is a positive contribution to our environment and our own health.

Given our breadth of backgrounds and experience – including art, architecture, education, sports coaching, law enforcement, engineering, science, management, government and much, much more – we’re confident we can find instructors to fit any given training situation well.

Importantly, we are not simply volunteers who do this in our spare time – every instructor on our team is a fully trained and accredited professional, paid for their time and skill, and who must undertake continuous professional development, training and mentoring.

NOTE: Every one of our instructors has had criminal records check and has a Enhanced Disclosure Certificate, so you can be reassured we take our client’s safety very seriously.
